Jamey Jasta is an American singer and songwriter from New Haven, Connecticut. He is known as the lead vocalist of metalcore band Hatebreed and mud metal band Kingdom of Sorrow. Jasta also faced metalcore band Icepick. Prior to Hatebreed, Jasta led the Jasta 14 Hardcore group. Jasta owns Stillborn Records, a heavy metal and heavyweight label from West Haven, and a “rock themed” clothing line called Hatewear. In 2011, Jasta released a solo album titled Jasta, starring Randy Blythe and Mark Morton, Zakk Wylde, Philip Labonte and Tim Lambesis. Jasta was the host of MTV's Headbanger's Ball from 2003 to 2007. Jasta created the track "Stat of the Day" for the national radio and television show, The Dan Patrick Show. Jasta appeared on the air with Dan Patrick on January 25, 2013 to discuss the song's performance. He is currently limited to smoking, drinking, and drugs, but is not fully involved in subculture.
